About the Blog
I am of the belief that everyone’s experiences in life affect how they react to religion. Some react harshly because they may feel betrayed or because someone pushed it on them. Some react better, and with openness, because of good experiences that may or may not have had anything to do with religion at all. Everyone is different, and everyone will react differently to what is set before them. Regardless of our life experiences, though, we retain the choice to believe or not. And in my opinion, a bad experience with some nasty Christian(s) is absolutely no excuse to outright deny the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The validity of the Bible and of God’s promise fulfilled through Christ is not dependent upon the actions of another. And that is why this blog exists.
Through this blog I hope to address certain questions about and objections to the Judeo-Christian God and the Christian belief.
If there are questions or objections you have and/or wish to raise, feel free to leave me a comment here or contact me at blearyeyedme@gmail.com.
If you seek a more immediate response, you may want to consult the Christian Thinktank. The library of research and comprehensive writings on various issues may well answer your question(s).
Remember that your ability to come to some kind of intellectually honest ‘truth’ about God and Christianity is completely dependent upon your honesty and openness in actually seeking answers, whatever the answer.
That said, and knowing that the blog exists mainly to address theological and philosphical issues, my hope with this blog is not simply to focus on those oft-debated issues, but to address, laugh at and otherwise discuss a variety of topics and issues. Their postings may be slow at first, and may wane every now and then depending on my schedule; but hopefully there wil be enough to go around and to keep you (and myself) entertained. Should there be something you’d like to see me address, feel free to shoot me an email and let me know. I’m always open to suggestions.
